As with any city, Pittsburgh has much to offer locals and city dwellers in the way of entertainment, amusement, and beauty.

During my day off, as my partner and I left Glenmont, Ohio, behind, I decided we should make another stop and see what places a couple could visit outside of Pittsburgh that would make for a memorable weekend getaway. 

I wasn’t quite ready to give up our time since I was enjoying our travels.

Great places near Pittsburgh for a couple’s weekend getaway

Couples looking for a weekend getaway outside Pittsburgh will love the unique Ledges Hotel in Hawley or one of the many classic B&Bs in the Pennsylvania countryside. Outdoorsy couples will love staying in a rental near Pine Creek Gorge, the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania, and everyone will love the Omni Bedford Springs Resort.

Located in Hawley, Pennsylvania, just six hours and over three hundred miles away from Pittsburgh, it makes for a scenic drive and beautiful weekend getaway for a couple to share.
