7 Best All Inclusive Resorts with Vegan Options

With decadent buffets and gourmet restaurants, staying at an all-inclusive is appealing for many reasons. But if you follow a strict vegan diet, it can be hard to find a resort that caters to vegan guests. Restaurants at these types of resorts tend to be very meat or seafood-focused, with limited or lackluster dining options for vegans. However, that is slowly changing, and more and more resorts are now offering vegan and vegetarian menus.

So, if you’re looking for a vegan-friendly all-inclusive resort in Mexico and the Caribbean, I’m here to help! While not all the resorts on this list will be completely vegan, many of them do have specific menus or offerings for you to choose from.

What is the Best All Inclusive Resort with Vegan Options?

While many chains and big-name hotels aren’t explicitly vegan resorts, places like Finest Playa Mujeres, Iberostar Grand Bávaro, or Excellence Riviera Cancun do have restaurants that offer vegan options. These vegan-friendly hotels are great if you’re traveling with meat or seafood eaters, as everyone will have something they can enjoy for lunch or dinner.

But if you’d prefer to stay in a place that only serves vegan cuisine, then there are some vegan all-inclusive resorts out there too.

When choosing where to stay, it’s also important to consider the hotel’s location, amenities, and included activities. Taking all those factors into account, I’ve curated a list of the seven best vegan-friendly resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean!

Finest Playa Mujeres – Mexico

vegan resorts

Finest Playa Mujeres isn’t just a luxury resort for vacation dwellers and beachgoers – it’s also one of the best options for foodies.

That’s because each of their 12 restaurants can accommodate all types of dietary requirements, including gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan diets! Whether you’re in the mood for contemporary French, fresh Caribbean, or Asian fusion, you’ll have no problem finding something tasty to tantalize your tastebuds.

Another big selling point of this resort are the amenities, which are truly top-notch, even compared to other 5-star resorts in the area.

Snorkeling, water polo, cooking lessons, salsa music, Bollywood shows – the Finest Playa Mujeres has it all. There are also 12 pools on the property, although you can always take a few steps to be on the pristine white sands of Playa Almada.

Iberostar Grand Bávaro – Dominican Republic

While you’ll have many options for all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana, you can’t go wrong with the Iberostar Grand Bávaro (especially if you’re vegan!) Punta Cana is itself one of our top destinations in the Dominican Republic!

This adult-only resort has four al la-carte restaurants, five bars, and two buffets with a huge selection of vegan meals. There’s also a poolside bar and cafe too, in case you’re looking for something to enjoy after a day of swimming or snorkeling in the ocean.

In addition to keeping your stomach happy and full with all vegan-friendly options, this resort also has a lot to keep you entertained as well! Water sports, pool games, fitness classes, and unlimited rounds of golf are just a few of the things you can do during the day.

And when the sun sets, you’ll be treated to a variety of entertainment, from live music to dazzling theatrical performances.

The House of AïA – Mexico

If you’re looking for a boutique hotel that’s a little more health-conscious than a traditional all-inclusive, then House of AïA is for you.

As one of the only plant-based oceanfront resorts on the Riveria Maya, you can expect a very high quality of vegan dishes made with only fresh, seasonal ingredients. They aim to create full vegan dishes that are well-balanced, healthy, and, most importantly, insanely delicious.

Take my advice and order the cheese and mushroom quesadillas with textured soy carnitas!

But they aren’t only focused on whipping up gourmet vegan food. They also promote holistic well-being by offering unique experiences like guided meditation sessions, yoga classes, sound baths, and energy healing.

But since you’re right on the shores of Playacar Beach, there are also tons of fun outdoor activities you can do as well, like snorkeling, kayaking, or cycling. All in all, it’s one of the best vegan all inclusive resorts you can visit!

Excellence Riviera Cancun – Mexico

The Excellence Riviera Cancun is an award-winning destination that will really make you feel like you’re a VIP for a few days. Not only are the grounds impeccably beautiful, but the customer service team is outstanding.

They really go out of their way to make sure you’re taken care of – even in terms of finding vegan and vegetarian options at their restaurants. If you aren’t interested in the delicious vegan options on the menu, employees are more than happy to make something else to accommodate your tastes.

And when it comes to activities, there’s so much for you to do, from paddleboarding and sailing to archery and tennis.

But if you’re just here to relax, you’ll love hanging out in your room. This is an all-suite resort, which means the rooms are spacious and outfitted with luxury furnishings, so you can unwind in style.

Live Aqua Beach Resort Punta Cana – Dominican Republic

When you stay at the Live Aqua Beach Resort, you can rest assured that you’ll find a smattering of vegetarian and plant-based cuisine options at their restaurants. There’s also an international buffet, where you can indulge in a variety of different hot and cold dishes throughout the day.

This hotel has so many outstanding amenities, like luxury spa treatments, 24-hour room service, themed parties, and a neverending list of included activities (night and day). Not to mention, you’ll be right on the shores of Uvero Alto beach, where you can spend your days swimming, snorkeling, or sunbathing.

Sandos Cancun Resort – Mexico

Both of the restaurants at the Sandos Cancun Resort have separate menus with fully vegan options, so you won’t have to worry about finding something tasty to eat.

Some of their delicious vegan items include mango and avocado dip, baked yucca in bread, and raw vegan lasagna. You’ll also have a list of entirely vegan desserts if you’re craving something sweet too!

I would highly recommend staying at this hotel if you’re active because there are so many great activities on land and on the water that are included with your room. There are oceanfront spin classes, masquerade dinners, and theme open-air fiestas.

And you’ll be located right in the middle of Cancun’s famous Hotel Zone, surrounded by a sparkling white sand beach and crystal blue waters.

Zoetry Punta Cana – Dominican Republic

If you crave a luxury getaway, the Zoetry Punta Cana is one of my top vegan-friendly resort options in Punta Cana.

This spectacular property is located on the untouched Uvero Alto beach, surrounded by swaying palms and some of the bluest waters you’ll ever see! But the location is only one reason to stay here. Activities like complimentary kayaking, catamaran trips, wine tasting, cigar rolling classes, and cooking lessons will make sure that you won’t ever get bored.

There are four on-site restaurants as well as a coffee bar (which serves vegan milk alternatives for your morning coffee). Each restaurant has vegan options and vegetarian friendly meals that are so delicious that they might even entice the meat eaters in your group at the resort

As you can see, being vegan isn’t a deal breaker if you’re planning to stay at an all-inclusive for your vacation. Nowadays, there are many hotel restaurants that serve vegan dishes, making it even easier for people with dietary restrictions to enjoy their time in the tropics! And most importantly, they’re so delicious that I think even meat and dairy eaters will be tempted to order off the menu!
