9 of the Best All-Inclusive Resorts in Cancun with Water Slides

While many people choose to go on vacation in Cancun to relax, others want to enjoy a day splashing around in the pool or slipping down spiraling water slides. If you’re the latter, then you’ll be happy to know that there are quite a few hotels and resorts with exciting water parks located right there on the property. So, in addition to the beach and pool, you and your family can play on the slides or at the park without ever stepping foot off of the resort. 

However, there are many other family resorts with water parks that you may enjoy besides the ones I just listed above. In this article, I’ll share a few more top-rated resorts, along with why I think they would be a great choice for your fun family vacation.

Hotel Riu Dunamar

When it comes to outdoor fun, it doesn’t get much better than the Hotel Riu Dunamar. This massive property has five outdoor pools and its very own water park – Splash Water World. Thrill-seekers will love it here, as there are five different slippery slides to choose from. There’s the free-fall Aquashoot and the four-lane Aquaracer (where you can race your friends). But the most unique slide is the Torbellino, a giant bowl-like slide that spins you around before shooting you out into the pool below.

If that’s not enough water fun for you, there’s always the beach! Hotel Riu Dunamar sits right on the shores of the Costa Mujeres, one of the best Cancun beaches for kayaking, snorkeling, and swimming. After a day of non-stop action, you can head to one of the five on-site restaurants (all meals and drinks are included) before enjoying a night of evening entertainment. 

Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort

When you first check in to the Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort, you’ll be blown away by just how many fun things there are to do here. If you’re coming here with kids,  it’s easily one of the best Cancun all inclusive family resorts you can stay at. In addition to the beach volleyball, archery, golfing, kayaking, and fishing opportunities, the resort also has a massive water park with two crazy, twisting slides.

If they’re a bit too scary for your little ones, you can always take them to the kid’s pool, which has its own mini water park and slide.

For those who prefer to spend their days relaxing, cooking classes, cocktail making, and Spanish lessons are also available. You’re also more than welcome to just hang out by the pool or indulge in gourmet cuisine at any of the 13 bars and restaurants. 

Moon Palace 

The waterslide area at Moon Palace is state-of-the-art. In fact, I think it might be one of Cancun’s best hotels, as it feels like a full-blown water park! There are several slides to choose from, including a twisting slide and pair of double racing slides.

While they are great for older kids, they aren’t suitable for little ones (you have to be at least 5’2″ to go down any of the slides). However, there is a surf simulator, lazy river, and wave pool for them to use instead!

And the slides are only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to family-friendly activities. The Moon Palace also has a video game lounge, a bowling alley, and a kid’s playroom with bumper cars, neon mini-golf, and an arcade.

Planet Hollywood

As one of the more modern hotels in Cancun, Planet Hollywood is the perfect beachfront resort for family trips and groups. The property is sleek, stylish, and located right on a pristine white sand beach. And while it definitely feels like a luxury resort, Planet Hollywood also knows a thing or two about letting loose and having fun! Guests can enjoy the entertainment-themed attractions and special events (neon silent parties, Hollywood tribute parties, and rock nights are all part of your all-inclusive package). 

The outdoor pool complex is also pretty outstanding. There’s a lazy river, a swim-up bar, and a FlowRider Double Wave Simulator surf machine. They also have a special splash play area for kids who are looking for outdoor fun.

This pirate-themed water park features a climbable pirate ship and several twisting waterslides (sorry, parents – the slides are just for kids!).

Crown Paradise Club

Located on the southern end of Cancun’s Hotel Zone, the Crown Paradise Club has one of the most scenic water slide areas I’ve seen. You’ll find their splash park right next to the beach, so you can enjoy panoramic Caribbean Sea views while you’re slipping down the slides. Two other pools are located ocean-side, while the adults-only pool is at the back of the hotel (it’s the best place to be for sunset). 

If you’re traveling with little kids in Cancun, then I know they’ll love Kids Paradise. As part of this full-day kids’ club, your children can enjoy supervised playtime on the mini pirate-themed water park, which has fountains, water umbrellas, and tons of short slides! With so much to keep them occupied, this is one water park that the kids will absolutely love.

All Ritmo Cancun Resort & Waterpark

If you’re looking for an affordable all-inclusive family resort with a water park for kids, then book your stay at the All Ritmo. This intimate hotel (only 115 rooms) has its very own water area with a climbable tree house, waterfalls, and slides. There’s also a huge splash bucket on the top that dumps water all over the playground every few minutes. Other activities include mini golf, tennis, basketball, and ping pong. 

For being such a small hotel, All Ritmo has a surprising number of dining facilities. Choose from Italian, Mexican, seafood, or all-you-can-eat international cuisine at the main buffet. They also have an indoor theater where you can dine while watching live music or theatrical performances!

Wyndham Alltra Cancun Resort

Although it doesn’t have a large water park, the Wyndham Alltra Cancun Resort is still a great family vacation destination with tons of fun activities for kids. The on-site splash park features a pirate ship and medieval castle, as well as seven water slides, two splash pads, and a large pool.

If mom and dad want a bit of me-time (the hotel has a world-class spa, complimentary fitness classes, and wine and tequila tasting events), then have your little ones spend the day at Camp Alltra, where they’ll enjoy supervised play time and have the opportunity to meet new friends.

Then, in the evening, you can be reunited for a delicious dinner and a nightly live show. 

Hyatt Ziva Cancun

The Hyatt Ziva Cancun is a luxurious all-inclusive resort with a fantastic water park guaranteed to amaze kids and any adults in your group.

To start, the hotel has a mini water park for the kids, with a play structure, a slide, and several shooting fountains. But if you walk further towards the beach, you’ll find four water slides that are more suited to older kids and adults (although younger kids are more than welcome to play here if they’re daring enough).

But the Hyatt Ziva isn’t just the place to go for water activities. With endless activities, top-notch evening entertainment, and unlimited dining at the 17 on-site restaurants and bars, this is one of the best resorts in Mexico to take your family. And because this all-inclusive beachfront is located on the northern point of the Hotel Zone, you’ll also be close to all the shops, bars, and clubs in the area. 

Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun

The Royalton Riviera Cancun Hotel is the place to go for non-stop family fun. That’s because it’s home to one of the largest water parks in Cancun as well as the entire Caribbean!

With a lazy river, water-soaking splash pads, and 14 monster slides, this is hands down one of the best water park resorts. However, I recommend staying a few extra days to take advantage of all the other amenities at this all-inclusive property, like the bowling alley, trampoline park, and laser tag arena!

And while the Royalton Splash places a heavy emphasis on fun, this resort in Cancun is a great destination for those who want to sit back and relax as well. The private beach is yours for snorkeling, kayaking, sunbathing, and surfing at this all-inclusive resort. And when you get hungry, you’ll be able to choose from a whopping 17 different restaurants for food.
